Ty Newell is a Managing Director for TPG Real Estate Partners (TREP), the real estate arm of TPG Capital, and is based in San Francisco. Mr. Newell previously served on the Board of Directors of Evergreen Industrial Properties, a ~$1Bn light industrial platform, and currently serves as a member of the Advisory Circle of Community Housing Partnership, a provider of supportive housing to those experiencing homelessness in San Francisco
Prior to joining TREP in 2012, Mr. Newell worked in both the Investment Banking and Private Equity Investing arms of Morgan Stanley Real Estate and as a Finance Analyst for Developers Diversified Realty, a publicly traded REIT. Mr. Newell received his BA degree in Economics with a certificate in Markets and Management studies from Duke University, where he graduated cum laude.
