CyrusOne's global expansion under Gary’s direction saw it becoming a leader in revenue growth and operational scale, with facilities across Europe, Latin America, and Asia. This included a significant increase in share price from $19 at the IPO to $78, alongside a 250% dividend rise. His strategic vision transformed CyrusOne into a low-risk, high-value stock with 45 data centers and 10 million square feet of real estate.
Gary's expertise extends beyond CyrusOne, having been instrumental in additional IPOs and restructurings at companies like Agere Systems, Delphi Systems, and Laureate Education. His industry leadership includes board positions at GDS, China’s leading data center company, and Poema Global, a Hong Kong-based technology investment fund.
Gary’s accolades include EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year and recognitions from Fortune and the Stevie Awards, making him a prominent figure in both the technology and financial sectors.
In his extensive real estate career, Natelli has also been significantly involved with lodging REITs. He previously served as Chairman of the Board of Chesapeake Lodging Trust from its IPO in 2010 until its merger with Park Hotels and Resorts in 2019. He continues to serve on the board of Park Hotels and Resorts, a publicly traded lodging REIT. His expertise extends beyond the residential and lodging sectors, having a strong presence in community and commercial real estate development.
Natelli's leadership also extends to the nonprofit sector, where he has served as Chairman of the Board of the School of Engineering at Duke University, a trustee emeritus at the same, and a participant in numerous other civic and cultural boards.
Most recently, Tom served as SVP of Infrastructure at Fastly, the only content delivery network that gives businesses control over how they serve content with unprecedented access to real-time performance analytics. Tom was responsible for capacity planning and deployment of the Fastly CDN, overseeing data center operations, network engineering, and global logistics.
Prior to Fastly, Tom was co-founder of Dynamic Network Services (“Dyn”, a company offering Internet Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), including Managed DNS and Email Delivery services. As co-founder, Tom wore many hats, including engineer, architect, chief technology officer, chief scientist, company evangelist, executive, and board member.
Tom is also a recognized speaker, sharing his expertise at industry conferences like NANOG, Velocity, and Surge, focusing on core internet infrastructure topics.
During a nearly 20-year career at the privately held firm, Michael rose to partner level and helped develop the company from a small barge trading firm in Rotterdam to the multi-billion dollar firm that it is today. In his primary role was as head of the North Sea Crude Oil trading team, Michael was directly responsible for the company’s daily exposure to the dated brent benchmark which prices 60% of the world's crude oil. The company was at the forefront of the then-nascent transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy.
Since leaving Vitol, Michael has concentrated on managing the family office, investing in startups and blue chips, as well as assisting smaller energy companies go to the public markets, before their eventual buyout.
When he has time to get away from his desk, Michael enjoys skiing, mountain biking and hiking in the mountains. He also competes in motorsports at an amateur level with notable success at Le Mans, and other well-known European circuits.
Prior to joining TREP in 2012, Mr. Newell worked in both the Investment Banking and Private Equity Investing arms of Morgan Stanley Real Estate and as a Finance Analyst for Developers Diversified Realty, a publicly traded REIT. Mr. Newell received his BA degree in Economics with a certificate in Markets and Management studies from Duke University, where he graduated cum laude.
